I’m starting to think that interior racism could be part of the higher prices of interracial coupling inside our community

A little over last year, I obtained as well as a group of fellow black, homosexual buddies in Chicago and chose to try to put a brunch that is monthly ended up being exclusively for males who looked like us.

For months, it kept growing without fail. Individuals could invite whomever they wanted, but the rule that is main, for the initial couple of hours, the room must be only men that identified as black colored and homosexual, and that others could join after 3pm.

Over time, the brunch turn into a safe space for all of us, who generally felt like we had none – not in LGBT spaces, and never in black people. Brunch is our destination to breathing a little easier.

Recently, one of the social people that is a leader to make this brunch continue – now with less frequency – and I also were referring to the love lives of the guys included.
